Office for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities welcomes You.
We are a team of professionals who gathered for joint work aimed at protecting the rights of persons with disabilities living in the Republic of Belarus. For a long time persons with disabilities in our country had no possibility to take part in a social life of the society, they lived in isolated communities and had no chance to live a full life. The Office’s activity is aimed at changing our society, making it free from barriers and prejudices. We strive for rebuilding it in such a way, that people with disabilities would become its equal members able to take part in all the spheres of life. The Office protects the rights of persons with disabilities and promotes understanding of disability as the problem of observance of human rights. In our activities we are guided by the values and the provisions of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
