The ceremony of awarding the laureates and winners of the competition of essays and studies on topic “Accessibility and disability. Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities” held by the Office for the rights of persons with disabilities took place on January 30. Anastasia’s Ianuchek’s work took the first place. Anastasia is a fifth year student of law faculty of Belarusian State Economic University. Her work is dedicated to the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities.
Evgeniy Shevko and Yulia Katorzhinskaya took the second and third places.
Three authors got diplomas in special nomination “For life position”: Alexander Tomkovich, Olga Rubachuk and Svetlana Ermakova. Works by these authors were specially mentioned by the jury. We remind that the competition of essays and studies started in autumn 2011. Its goal was the expansion of knowledge in the sphere of the problems of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Belarus, promotion of the ideas of equal participation, accessibility and inclusion for everyone, development of expert potential in the sphere of rights of persons with disabilities in the Republic of Belarus.
